We respectfully request that you take 2 minutes to send a letter(s) to your Senators and Representatives to: 1) thank them for their support for Israel and 2) thank them for approving emergency funding for the Iron Dome. Some congressional offices are being bombarded with anti-Israel calls and emails, and it’s important that our voice is heard. I write to thank you for your continued support of Israel. Over the last few weeks, the U.S. Senate and House have passed various resolutions which reaffirm U.S. support for Israel, provide emergency funding for the Iron Dome defense system, supports Israel’s right to defend itself, and strongly condemn Hamas and their terrorist tactics.

Since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge on July 7, 2014, Hamas and other Gaza terrorist organizations have launched more than 3,200 rockets at Israel aimed solely at killing, maiming, and terrorizing Israelis. The deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Hamas is an unacceptable act of terror that no country can tolerate. Hamas’ war crimes and violations of basic morality should be widely condemned by all persons of conscience. Hamas has turned hospitals into military command centers, used schools as weapons depots and placed missile batteries next to playgrounds, private homes and mosques.

Thank you for agreeing that it is critical for the United States to support Israel’s right to defend its citizens and for condemning Hamas. I appreciate what you have done to support Israel and I urge that congress approved $225 million in spending for Israel’s Iron Dome Missile Defense System.
