As we prepare to gather around the seder table and celebrate Pesach with our loved ones, we are heartbroken to have to announce the passing of our beloved past president, Charles S. Temel z”l.

The son of Holocaust survivors, Charlie, as he was affectionately known, was a compassionate and dedicated champion of Jewish causes throughout his life. From his early years in Colombia, his adolescence in Miami, and his years spent raising his family in New York, Charlie was always committed to leaving the world a better place.

Serving as our President from 2016-2019, Charlie was a wise and generous leader, a valued friend, and an exceptional person. His presence was felt in every corner of our organization and he will be very deeply missed. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion.
